In Loving Memory

Posted by Kate Sherwood on 11 April 2019

As a community, we have been devastated by the death of a junior club member and U14 team mate. Luke Hobson had been a member of Blueharts since he joined the Mini’s section, playing U10, U12 and most recently in the U14 7 a-side team. He was a very well-liked, enthusiastic and committed team player who never gave up in games, especially when things were not going the team’s way. He was such a remarkable boy who touched so many lives. and a credit to his family who always supported him with his hockey. He will be very much missed.

Luke’s family have been overwhelmed by the messages of support they have received. Whilst continuing to ask for privacy at this incredibly difficult time, they have taken the decision to release his name in order to share details of a fundraising page that has been set up to support the work of the East Anglian Air Ambulance who, along with his coaches and the emergency services, did an extraordinary job to try and save him that night.
