Return to play - an update

Posted by Kate Sherwood on 24 August 2020

Dear Bluehart,

Thank you to everyone who has followed the registration process for the new season so far. Teamo notifications have been buzzing off the hook and we’ve got a very high number of England Hockey registrations.

Here’s where you can find a reminder of the 3 steps you must follow to register to play hockey this season -

It’s critical that we have 100% completion of all steps, as you won’t be able to train or play without it.

Our Covid Team have been very busy preparing us to move to England Hockey’s Return to Play Step 4 – ‘Competitive Training and Local Matchplay’. The website has been updated with all the information you need to read and digest before, during and after using the Lucas Lane pitch.

It’s critical that everyone who intends to train and play reads all the relevant guidance.

On a very happy note, with England Hockey moving to Step 4, we are now able to extend our training to include club sessions. Here’s a full list of sessions:

Ladies - from tomorrow (Tuesday 25 August):

  • Ladies 4-6s @7-8:15pm
  • Ladies 1-3s @8:30-10pm

Mens 1&2s continuing on Wednesday @7:15-9pm

Mens 3-7s starting this week on Thursday @8-9:30pm

We are looking to start U14 sessions within the next fortnight and will be in touch with more information on that very soon. Details of the remaining junior sessions will also be shared in due course.

A reminder that everybody must register for sessions via Teamo – so make sure you are set up to receive notifications.

Again, a huge thanks to the Covid and Coaching team working very hard to get us back and enjoying hockey again!

See you at the Club very soon,

Blueharts Committee
